Notable speakers for the 2021 Pride Women Conference to provide a roadmap for post COVID-19 well-being

Boasting a fantastic line-up of speakers, the fifth edition of the Pride Women Conference, which has the theme “Thriving Emotionally, Economically and Physically in the Post COVID-19 World”, will provide women and men with tools to cope in a world that has dramatically changed over the past year.

“Throughout the course of 2020, and till now in 2021, we have all had to stretch ourselves to overcome the uncertainties and frustrations of loss and grief as well as health and financial challenges,” said Ijeoma Anyiam-Osigwe, Convener of the Pride Women Conference. “We want this edition to be a space for mindful reflection, for people to take solace in the camaraderie with others, and learn from others who have dealt with and overcame similar challenges.”

Joyce Ojemudia, the MD/CEO of African Alliance Insurance Plc, will chair the event.

The speakers for the 2021 edition are:

Iyom Josephine Anenih, the former Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development in Nigeria, will speak on “Women Oppressing Women: Best We Uphold Each Other”.

Olufunmilayo Ajike Roberts, Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria will speak on “My Will Be Done: Leaving a Written Will”.

Dr Nnenna Nina Chigbo, the President of the Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy will speak on “Sleep and Your Emotional Well-Being”.

Motunrayo Oyemade, the Founder of Wives & Mothers will speak on “My Family Is My Life: Parenting and Emotional Well-Being”.

Mweembe Eugenia Sikaulu, a communications and brand specialist will speak on on “Seek and Speak Your Truth: Figure Out Where You Stand and Where You Want to Go”.

Lucille Ossai, a communications trainer will speak on “Soft Skills: Needed Tool Kit in Today’s Environment”.

The Pride Women Conference was initiated for the emotional and material well-being of the 21st-century woman, her family, and society. The 2021 edition is set for Friday, May 7. The event will be a hybrid one, with a limited number of seats available at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Lagos, Nigeria in keeping with COVID-19 protocols, as well as live-streamed on the Conference YouTube channel.
