In the agenda of the Almighty God, women are rated so high. Let us look at it from the Bible creation story:
Man was made from the dust (weak and crude material).
However, God made man in His image.
When God wanted to create the female form, He created woman out of His own image – from bone extracted from the man he had created from dust. Thus women were fashioned out of a finished, refined, stronger and sophisticated material.
Why did God create woman from a refined product? It is because He had a superior mission in mind for women. The woman was to be a helpmate for the man. She was to stand beside and behind her man to prop him up, to keep him strong.
Women, it’s high time we rise up to our duty both physically and spiritually. The power to make and unmake the world had been handed over to us, especially after the fall of humans in the Garden of Eden.
In Genesis 3:15, when God was passing His judgment, He said unto the serpent “I will make enmity between thee and the woman, between thy seed and her seed, it shall bruise thy head and thou shall bruise his heel.” This simply means the woman has been authorised by God Himself to bruise the head of the serpent! Satan. Wow! What a great authority! Women have been given the power to fight spiritual battles with the assurance of indisputable victory. “It shall bruise thy head and thou shall bruise his heel” simply means that Satan will not stand still but fight back, but we will be only inflicted with minimum damage.
Let us examine this battle with Satan further. It is possible for someone to live without legs, but it’s not possible to live without one’s head. The implication of this is that no matter how Satan troubles us, we will still live on. When we rise up to our God given assignment we have divine assurance that we will checkmate Satan.
Satan knows the importance of women in the agenda of the Almighty God and that is why he has used his guile to lure some women folk into witchcraft, sorcery, prostitution and other filthy engagements just to pollute them and render their positive spiritual ability impotent. The devil knows that women are the battle-axe of the Almighty and that is why he attacks women. “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7
God revealed the importance of woman in the scheme of marriage when in Proverbs 18:22, He says, “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD.” Simply put, any man that is able to find the wife that God ordained for him is blessed beyond compare. In his wife, he finds his strength, his dignity and his weapon of war against the machinations of the evil one – “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12.
As women it is our duty to see to both the spiritual and the physical wellbeing of our husbands and children. Women are created to fight the battles in the family! A praying woman is a victorious woman! Many marriages and homes would not have had problems if the women had realized and risen up to their duties of protecting the family.
Satan turns some men against their wives so that there will be no peace and rest of mind for the woman to think straight and make use of her God given power to ward off evil attacks. However, the woman must be on her guard and stand firm for the sake of her family. “Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” James 4: 9-10
St. Paul advises that we should pray without ceasing. Prayer is our weapon against the machinations of the evil one. Women, let us join hands together to pray our homes, communities, and countries out of the hand of the evil one! Yes, we can do it! We have been given the power to bruise the head of the serpent! To whom much is given much is expected!
