Chief Mrs Uche Akpuru hails from Uli-Ihiala Local Government of Anambra State. She is married to Dr. Sampon Akpuru of Arochukwu in Arochukwu Local Government of Abia State. Married for thirty years; they are blessed with four children.
Chief Mrs Uche Akpuru obtained a BSc.Ed from the University of Port Harcourt in 1984, and did her NYSC the same year. She proceeded for her Masters degree at the University of Lagos, and graduated with an M.Ed in Curriculum in 1992.
She is an entrepreneur, and runs a business with a staff strength of 40.
