Nominations are open. You’re invited to nominate for consideration by the Pride Magazine Nigeria Awards Committee, candidates for the Pride 2019 JEWEL OF INESTIMABLE VALUE AWARDS. This award is given to women who in the opinion of the Committee have positively impacted our society.
The Committee awards it to any person, living or dead, who has contributed greatly to the betterment of our world.
Recipients of the 2017 awards were Dr Mrs Maryam Babangida for her contributions to the welfare of her family, nation, and humanity through her Better Life Program for Rural Women, and Dr Ameyo Stella Adadevoh, whose personal sacrifice prevented a national catastrophe.
The 2018 recipients were Dr. (Mrs.) Obiageli (Oby) Ezekwesili in recognition of her concern and empathy towards the well-being of the Nigerian masses, championing the Bring Back Our Girls campaign over the past few years and ensuring that the missing girls are not forgotten by the Nigerian government, and Her Excellency, Betsy Obaseki, First Lady of Edo State, for putting her best efforts towards the eradication of human trafficking and modern slavery, thereby saving our youth from misery, and empowering them to lead better lives.

The closing date for nominations is Friday, March 29, 2019, and award recipients will be notified via email on Monday, April 15, 2019. The awards will be presented at the 2019 Pride Women Conference, taking place on Friday, May 24, 2019, at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Victoria Island, Lagos.
