My dear daughter,
Life is such that at any given moment, we may feel some kind of pain, anger, sadness, frustration, disappointment or regret because of some issue that we are dealing with.
It is important to examine the source of this anguish within us to determine if we are still caught up in the past. If something happened in the past, it is an event that is not happening now. It is done, it is over with. However, we may be experiencing the pain of the event that is long gone because of the story we have been subconsciously telling ourselves about that past incident. We may even perceive ourselves as victims and memories of the past then evoke strong emotions.
We all have these struggles brought on by many and varied incidents. It is important for each one of us to think deeply and find out what it is that is causing us this pain, this emotional distress, and see it for what it is. Having done this, clear our thoughts and minds of them by letting go.
Letting go will help us get back our mental balance and our inner peace. What I am saying here my darling is that we should not allow the past to rule our present thoughts and emotions. Let go and take the needed steps that will help you feel better, think more clearly, and live a life free of past hurts. Forgive those that have hurt you, change your thoughts and live your life not enslaved to past hurts.
