Uri Ngozichukwuka studied business administration at the University of Lagos. She also has an MBA in marketing management from Trinity College Dublin through the professional Global Training Institute United Kingdom. Ex-banker turned brand communication/media consultant, she is also a UN Women trainer on financial inclusion.

Uri has blazed all aspects of media from TV/Radio newscasting and script writing to developing content for TV and Radio. Uri is also an experiential marketer and a believer in the increasing adaptations of new media and digital skills. She is a guest news presenter, public relations strategist, reputation manager, and image curator. Her company April Benjamin and Dawn Communication Limited produces documentaries, short dramas, jingles, commercials, media campaigns, and integrated public relations.

She is a writer and a published author. She has written several human-interest articles, especially on gender inclusion. Her works include a trilogy: Sakadelli: So, When Is It Okay?, Sakadelli 2: Give Me a Break!, and Sakadelli Musings, with the final instalment out in 2023.

As an inclusion advocate, she is the convener of Empathy Driven Women International Initiative (EDWIIN), a non-profit organisation that focuses on women and girls with disabilities. EDWIIN has worked with IDP camps, has been featured on CNN Inside Africa, and has also won several humanitarian awards. At the TedxMendeWomen event in 2017, Uri used the platform to advocate for women with disabilities.

Uri is a titled chief in her hometown – the Ada Ukwu Eji-Ejemba of Asaga-Ohafia.
